I dedicate this Page to ARCHIE, whom I helped raise.
When he was 12 years old, he came to live with my (then husband) & me.
Their parents had passed away & the eldest brother brought them over to us, along with James, one of his 'many' brothers.
He Graduated High School in 1968 & went off to the Navy.
Came home & got married to a sweet girl named Sue.
See below for more pictures of Archie & Sue!
When I was divorced from his brother, I lost contact with him until his brother's (my ex's) funeral the 3rd of Aug. 2004. The eldest brother who had brought him to us also died about 1 year earlier.
Archie was only 56, & at his brother's funeral, he & Sue said they wanted to come over to see me - but - he never made it!
Here are some THUMBNAIL views to click on & see a larger size of them!
Sorry, had to cut back to add more pics below!
I placed a note of condolences on the Schoedinger.com Website page & here is a copy of what I said on it:
Dearest Loved Ones of Archie:
It grieves my heart to hear about Archie's passing. He was such a sweet boy when he was growing up & I counted it a ~privilege~ to help in his raising. I was so glad to be able to see him at Homer's funeral & was awaiting he & Sue's call to say they were coming over to visit me as he said he wanted to do. He said I was good to him & I was glad to hear that, for I never knew how he felt about me, his sister-in-law! We were very close in age, but I counted him as being one of my children.
I made a Webpage for him if anyone has a computer & wants to view it. It is not linked publically & I placed 3 pictures (his graduation picture, Navy picture & one of him with James & him together) on it. I didn't have time to say much on it, but will add more later. It is located here: http://Patsys60.homestead.com/ARCHIE.html
I called Sue & was able to talk to her a bit. I was going to send flowers, but it was too late for me to send them since the funeral was Sat. morning with no previous showings, so I will enclose my Sisterly love for both he & Sue & am Praying for All of you, as I know how hard it has been for you this past year with losing Arnold, Homer & now Archie. Had just gotten to talk with Aunt Edith a couple of weeks ago & sure wish I could see her again!
With Loving Thoughts & Prayers, Pat
