"MARY'S 'TREASURES'!"

{Poem Book 6}
Mary's 'treasures' were of JESUS *
& what folks 'said' of Him,
Like the 'shepherds' who came to visit
right there in Bethlehem.
Even at the Temple *
up in Jerusalem,
She just stood there speechless
because of a man named Simeon.
A prophetess named Anna *
was also there to greet them,
Blessing GOD above &
wanting just to 'THANK' Him.
Sharing with everybody
she met out on the street,
About the coming of The Savior
Who'd 'save us' from defeat!
And when three Kings appeared
on the doorstep of their home, *
What a JOY to behold
the One Who came down from His Throne.
When JESUS was only twelve *
& found 'teaching' in the Temple,
Mary hid away these 'treasures'
knowing they weren't simple.
Even though she didn't
understand it all,
Mary often 'pondered' them
as JESUS grew so tall. *
I do not even think
Mary ever knew,
What it was all about
till JESUS' ministry was through!
Until The Spirit came over her *
& opened up her eyes,
Revealing 'all' His Will
which - now - was no disguise!
If she had known it then
I do not believe,
She could have 'stood' it all
& her 'mind' could not receive.
And now we have The Holy Spirit
to help us understand,
All His 'hidden treasures' *
as we hold His Hand.
All we have to do
is 'ponder' on His Word,
Store it in our 'hearts'
& 'DO' what we have heard!
