"THE STORMS OF LIFE!"
© 1997 Patricia L. Carpenter
{Poem Book 2}
Although the storms are raging
high above our heads,
We NEVER need to fear *
nor even live in dread.
For Jesus is at the helm
leading us safely on,
He'll see us through this rugged road *
& one day end this storm.
Just "Trust Him" and "Believe"
that He can do what He's said,
Don't just stand or sit and grieve
or lay there on that bed.
But "PRAISE HIM" *
while in this prison you lay,
Sing out your LOVE for Him
and 'His Will' - just obey.
Oh Jesus, sweet Jesus
You are so kind,
Today I give to You
my body, my soul and my mind! *
To do with as YOU will -
for You know what is best,
To help us overcome
& pass life's toughest tests.
Your Promises are forever
and we lean on You TODAY,
Please help us learn to Trust You
no matter "come what may"! *

"TRIBULATION?"
© 1997 Patricia L. Carpenter
{Poem Book 2}
"Triblation worketh Patience",
so the Bible reads, *
"But Lord, all this 'trouble'!",
I look up at Him & plead!
"Be HAPPY! *
when the way is rough, *
For when it is all over
you'll be 'strong & tough'. *
'Ready & able' to do anything for Me! *
Knowing 'without doubt' I'll NEVER leave thee!" *
'Happy', with inexpressible JOY! *
For when I am weakest, 'HIS strength' I employ! *
So don't try to squirm out of your problems
when they come around, *
As they are there to help you
to 'swim' & NOT to 'drown'!
Christ is 'testing' you *
to see if your 'faith' is strong,
Purifying your walk with Him
'freeing' you from all wrong.
Your 'faith' is more precious to God
than pure, refined gold,
For then He'll be able to help you *
when you're weak & old. 4/2/96
